The Sanford POWER Baseball Academy is proud to announce Chris Coste as program director. A Fargo native, Chris played professional baseball for 16 seasons, including four seasons with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, parts of five seasons in the Major Leagues (2006-2010), and was a member of the 2008 World Series Champions--the Philadephia Phillies. 

• Chris posted a career Major League batting average of .272 with 23 HR’s, including homeruns off of four Cy Young Award Winners--Tim Lincecum, Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine.

• In addition the the POWER Baseball Academy, Chris is also an Assistant Baseball Coach at Concordia College in Moorhead, and is a part-time TV Analyst for the Philadelphia Phillies on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.
  

 

What is POWER Baseball?

• The Sanford POWER Baseball Academy is a hitting acceleration program with personalized instruction from Chris Coste.

What You Will Learn at the Sanford POWER Baseball Academy

 A Practical Approach to the Mechanics of the Swing

• If you watch a Major League Baseball game you will see many different batting stances, postures and swings. We believe in the philosophy of allowing each young hitter to remain an individual in reference to their style, while helping them understand what is necessary to becoming a fundamentally sound hitter.

• Athletes will learn and practice the same basic fundamentals and drills that all Major and Minor League hitters perfrom on a daily basis.

• HAND-EYE COORDINATION  - Training will also heavily focus on the most important skill that any hitter can possess, hand-eye coordination.  A fundamentally sound swing is important, but the best hitters are always trying to improve this aspect of their swing.

      Our Mission

• The Sanford POWER Baseball Academy will provide an advanced learning environment for youth baseball players of all ages.






POWER Baseball Rates

• 1-on-1 individual training.............$70

• 2 hitters........................................... $50/each athlete
  

• 3-4 hitters.........................................$40/each athlete

Academy Hours and Location

• Due to his coaching duties at Concordia College, Chris' available hours are very limited and periodic.  Typically, for the months of February and March most Sundays are available, as are the occasional Saturdays and weeknights.

• From Interstate 94 Westbound or Eastbound- take the Veterans Boulevard exit and go south and just before 32nd Avenue stoplight turn Left onto Seter Parkway.

• From 32nd Avenue South and 45th street intersection – go West past the Scheels Arena and take a Right turn onto Seter Parkway.
